Ford Motor Company River Rouge – Fitness, Medical and Rehabilitation Center

Location: Dearborn, Michigan

Stakeholder/Client:  Ford Motor Company – Environmental Design Team and United Auto Workers (UAW)

Brief Description – Objective/Task:  Landscape planning and design to mitigate environmental factors known and analyzed.  Additionally a chief objective was the reduction of maintenance costs.

Personal Involvement – Action: Planning and design related to landscape improvements including wildflowers and ground covers

Results: Ford Motor Company began its considerable project in sustainability with this initial / beta project, which has resulted in providing ‘Rouge Tours’ to the public as forerunner in corporate focus on a ‘greener’ environment
